It was weird, there were plot lines that were just dropped at the end, and when Snow finally found her Prince Charming it was a total WTF?! Where did this guy come from?
Oh, and the egg thing at the end In an attempt to not give spoiler for those of you who would like to read this, I’ll stop right here. I will say, that midway through the book I was interested enough to want to find out what happened to th Others may wogkman this, but it just wasn’t for me.
I will say, that midway through the book I was interested enough to want to find out what happened to the characters. Maybe you just have to be looking for a fairlytale about vampires to really like this one? If that sounds like something you’ve been itching to read, check out Blood and Snow. View all 3 comments. Mar 02, Kathy Jo rated it really liked it Shelves: I’m a sucker for any retelling of them.
With that being said I will admit growing up, Snow White was not a fairy tale I liked. When given a choice, it was never chosen. I have come across a few retellings of this fairy tale and I have skipped right over them.
But when I came across RaShelle Workman’s version and saw the unique twist, I was intrigued to wnd the least. I started reading it with no expectations and will admit at times I was going ba 3. I started reading it with no expectations and will admit at times I was going back and forth about whether or not Rashellle was going to finish it.
I had to put it down a few times and walk away, read something new, but for some reason I just kept picking it back up and reading more. I really got curious as to how in the world it would end! I’m glad I kept reading because as soon as I got to Silindra’s story I could not put it down.
Worknan it was a triumphant end! He really is amazing! And of course Snow too. But I truly think I loved Dorian more! Oh and I can’t forget Professor Pops!!
Loved him from the beginning too!! The character that I spent over half the book disliking I know you are probably thinking what in the world is wrong with me?!
And we can’t forget the characters that I despised the most. I can’t say hate because in order to hate, you have to love and I never loved them.
Snow’s father and stepmother. Sorry excuses for human beings I tell ya! I wanted to strangle them every single time I read about them. Overall it was a good retelling and I enjoyed it. Jul 01, Kirsty Amethyst Bookwyrm wofkman it it was ok Shelves: This and my other reviews can be found at http: Snow White always thought she was a normal, if a bit clumsy, girl with a father and step-mother who are hardly around and seven best friends who are brothers.
That is until the Vampire Queen chooses Snow for her next body. Aorkman being bitten by her Hunter, Christopher, and turned into a revenant, Snow has to deal with both her thirst for both This and my other reviews can be found at http: Blood and Snow is an OK paranormal retelling of Snow White, however, while the idea of the story was enjoyable it was let down by the characters and the pacing. Another reason I struggled to connect with the story was because so many people had unbelievable ajd such as Snow White, Chace Charming, Mulan and Ariel, and it got annoying.
Snow irritated me as she did not act realistically because, when she found out about vampires, different creatures and her future she just accepted it instead of freaking out or not believing it. Another thing is that she kept on flitting between guys, saying rashellle loved one, then the other, back and forth throughout the book.
I would blooc also liked to get to know more about some of the brothers as apart from Gabe and Dorian, I did not feel like I knew them that well. At A Glance The concept was super fun but the execution was just okay. The Good This is a very lengthy book since it’s a collation of several novellas.
They do easily flow together, like a normal book, so no worries there. I have never read a retelling of the Snow White fairytale before. I have to say that Workman really created a fun interpretation of the story. The characters were fascinating and the vampire element added a little something extra. It took some time for me to really see the appeal of Snow, but once I did, I was rooting for her the rest of the time. She was wokrman and silly in the beginning but as workmab story went on, she showed us blkod depth and emotional side.
Snow got a raw deal when it comes to her family, but her neighbors make up for her absent family. I loved her workkan with the seven brothers. It was so carefree and brotherly well, most of the time.
Blood and Snow 9-12
And though she isn’t the strongest of people, she really tries her wokrman in wokman she is tasked to do, even when failure seems inevitable. The seven brothers and their guardian Professor Pops were my favorite characters by far.
Pops was an amazing father figure for Snow. He did so much for her, always treating her like she was a part of the family. It makes me all teary eyed just thinking about his kindness.
The brothers were fascinating. Each one had a unique personality that drew me to him. Dorian was my favorite from the beginning and stayed that way throughout. He rqshelle a great sense of humor and was so laid back but passionate at the same time. His heart was so big; he would do anything for the people he loves. Gabe was harder for me to like.
There were times when I saw his adorableness in all it’s glory but as the story went on, the less I liked him. His attitude about everything irked me.
Blood and Snow (Blood and Snow Omnibus) by RaShelle Workman
But I actually liked disliking him. Snd have those flawed characters. Snow’s Hunter was also an interesting character I never knew what to think about him, but I have to admit, scenes with him were super sexy. I really can’t say anything else since his identity is a surprise.
The story was fun overall.
